Winter at Long Barn

It’s beginning to look a lot like winter. With the first day of winter approaching (the solstice is on the 21st), we’re getting ready for more frosty-biting days ahead. Luckily inside our well-insulated oak-beamed barn, we’re toasty warm – so much so that we’ve had a couple of adventurous wrens take shelter in the garden room this week. Rest assured, they eventually took themselves off outside again, no doubt hunting for a berry lunch! If you’re visiting the area this week, please be mindful of the ice outside and stop by our Cafe for a lovely warming hot drink and rest.
