We do not enter your details on any mailing list unless you have explicitly requested that we do so via the order sheets or other marketing consent forms.

Please note that Café bookings data is kept for 12 months from
the end of the bookings diary.

This personal data will be kept securely with the exception of your payment details which are sent to and managed securely by SAGE PAY _ our payment service provider. We do not keep a record of your credit card details, apart from the card type and last four digits for reference.  Any credit card receipts from our till system are kept in our secure archives for 6 years according to our legal obligations.

When you subscribe to our email database or loyalty scheme. If you have opted in to receive marketing by email or any other method the legal basis for processing is called ‘consent’. We will keep personal data until you less you tell us you no longer wish to receive marketing from us, in which case we will remove your details from our list.

When you visit our website and or place an order on the website.
We use the personal data that you submit with the order to fulfill our contract to you: we use your delivery address to know where to send your order; we use your email address and mobile phone number to update you about your order status.

We will keep records of all transactions through our website along with the fulfilment of your orders. We will keep details of your visit to our site including, but not limited to, traffic data, resources accessed, behaviours and patterns or otherwise.

Your credit card/payment details are managed securely by our service provider SAGE PAY and we do not have access to those credit/debit card details.

Any other information gathered is used to personal your experience onsite, to improve our service, to produce targeted and relevant adverts on external platforms such as Facebook or Instagram, to measure the effectiveness of our advertising.


We may collect information about your computer, including but not limited to (where available), your IP address, operating system and browser type for administration purposes and to produce internal reports for assisting with fraud check enquiries. Using CCTV and photography in our stores. We do not access CCTV recordings unless we need to for security purposes. This data is erased after 3 months unless it needs to be referred to due to a suspected incident or for some other legal reason.

As a visitor to our site in Alresford, it may happen that you are captured by photographs either by Long Barn or other visitors. If you see yourself in any social posts and would like to be removed, please contact us at [email protected] and we will delete the post featuring you within 30 days.

When applying for a job at LONG BARN WINCHESTER LTD. Any data submitted by way of an application for a position at Long barn will be processed to ascertain whether you fit the role advertised and or to contact you for an interview. In the event that you are successful in your application, this information will be used as part of your personal file held by our HR department in a secure place.  Any application that is not successful will have the option to give consent to their data being held in our file for future reference or for their data to be destroyed.
